Can I switch to Sim Only?

You can easily switch to Sim Only. Click here to switch or contact Customer Support. You don't lose your call credit, but it will become deposit.

How long is my call credit valid?

Your call credit is unlimited valid, as long as your SIM card remains active.

How can I request my call credit?

It is possible to request you call credit in a few different ways:

  • Call 1244 en choose option 1. Now you hear how much call credit you still have
  • Text the word BALANCE to 1350 (free)
  • You can see you call credit at your personal My 88mobile page
Where can I buy call credit?

You can top up at our website easily and fast. You pay via iDeal and the call credit will be top up immediately. It is also possible to top up with a voucher, these are obtainable at Kruidvat, Trekpleister and GSM-Shop.

How can I top up?

If you did a top up via our website, you're top up will be placed automatically.

If you have bought a voucher at one of the selling points, you can top up in the following way:

  • Remove the scratch to see the unique code (this is only for vouchers which aren't directly printed from a system).
  • You can place the topup via one of the following ways:
    - Text LOAD topupcode (e.g. LOAD 123456789) to 1350
    - Call 1244 and follow the instructions
  • Your top up will be placed now
What do I have to do if top up with a voucher doesn't work?

If there are any problems with the top tup, please try another way to top up. See the different ways to top up above.

Checklist:

  • Do you have the right call credit? Only 88mobile call credit can be used.
  • Have you entered the complete code correctly?
  • Are you a new client? You always have to activate your SIM before you can top up.

How do I set up mobile internet on my phone?

To be able to use your 88mobile internet connection, you need to configure your phone. Most mobile devices will automatically set the configuration after placing the SIM-card (a reboot might be needed). In case your phone isn't automatically configured, please follow the steps below to manually set up the internet connection.

  • Account: 88mobile
  • APN: smartsites.t-mobile
  • Username: [leave empty]
  • Password: [leave empty]

Can I use internet with a prepaid SIM card?

Yes, this is possible. The rate for data within The Netherlands is €0.08 per MB. We don't round you usage up to a MB when you used less. Data sessions will be charged per 10KB. If you're using an internet bundle (100MB or 1000MB) and you've used all your data, this rate will be applied. The maximum speed of your connection is up to 28.8Mbps.

Are there prepaid data plans?

The following plans are available:

  • 100MB, €5.50 per month
  • 1000MB, €9.50 per month

The costs for your data plan will be deducted from your call credit immediately after activation. A active data plan will be renewed automatically every 1st of the month. If there's not enought call credit available, it will be deactivated automatically. The data is valid for one month. The maximum speed of your connection is up to 14.4Mbps. You can activate or change your data plan monthly. Please contact Customer Support to (de)activate a data plan.

How do I activate my SIM Card?
  • Insert the SIM card in your phone
  • Press the PIN code 9876
  • Call 1244 and activate the SIM Card
How long does my SIM card remain active?

Your sim card is unlimited usable, as long as you keep the simcard active. If you don't top up for longer than 3 months, the sim card will be disabled. But before the sim card will be disabled, it will become inactive. In this period of 15 days you can only receive calls and messages (in the Netherlands). While you're SIM card is inactive, you can activate it again by placing a top up.

You will receive several messages from 88mobile inform you, if there wasn't placed a topup for almost 3 months.

I can't call anymore, what do I have to do?

Probably you haven't enough call credit or haven't placed a top up for a long time. If you don't top up for longer than 3 months, the sim card will be disabled.
